Alrighty, so I have had a few people ask me how I do anatomy. Well, this is somewhat of a stupid little sketch, but hopefully it shows things clearly.

First off, my anatomy ain't perfect, simply goes with my style, so its not for everyone.

Basic rules of thumb:

-When drawing a pose keep in mind how the spine moves depending on the position your in. Use a line down the middle of the torso to display this. The spine can arch, but don't exaggerate this too much or it won't look believable.

-I drew it shitty and wrong on here, but hands will, on majority of bodies, come to the middle of your thigh when hanging at your sides. Well, the finger tips should touch the middle of your thighs.

-Don't forget the collarbone! Many people have a very pronounced colorabone, while there are others who do not. Choose how you wish to draw it based upon your own personal styles, this is just a helpful idea of where it is and how I draw it.

-Ears should always be in line with the eye at the top and nose at the bottom. Some people defy this rule, but this is the typical way that ears are drawn correctly.

-When drawing a belly button, be sure to look at yourself in the mirror! I have seen far too many people placing the belly button just above the pants line by the genitals. Wrong! I should be near the middle of the stomach, a little more then half way between the genitals and the chest.

The only other helpful hint I can give you all is to use little "bubbles' or "circles" when coming up with a pose. This is my preference as how to do this, other people prefer to make stick people. I just use bubbles at all the major joints so I can make sure that the pose would even potentially be believable. Granted, my anatomy is far from perfect and I have a lot to learn myself, but I hope this is helpful. <3

This will be scrapped shortly.

<333 That's how I make mine, with that skeleton frame. It makes mapping out proportions so much easier for me. It also helps me to pay attention to the body's flow.
